To be considered for teaching positions at the International School of Helsinki all applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  1. Minimally a Bachelor's Degree in Education (Master's Degree preferred)
  2. Teacher Certification/Licensure
  3. Minimally two full years of teaching experience post degree and certification (PYP, MYP and DP experience preferred)

Current Open Positions:

Business Manager
The school is seeking to recruit a Business Manager. The business manager is a member of the school leadership team. He/She is responsible for the overall fiscal operation of the school, ensuring the financial sustainability of the school to support its vision and mission. He/She is responsible for advising the head of school on the operational compliance of the school.

The school is seeking to recruit a professional with the following education, experience and qualifications:

- university degree with a concentration in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration,
-working knowledge of the regulatory environment for schools in Finland
- superior organizational and prioritization skills
- excellent ICT skills
-effective interpersonal and communication skills in both Finnish and English
-experience of working in an international environment is desirable.

The position is a full time study leave replacement until 28.02.2016.

French as a Foreign Language Teacher
The school is seeking to employ an educator who is experienced teaching French as a foreign language from 20 October 2014 - 30 May 2015. This position may start earlier than 20 October depending on the candidates' schedule.

The ideal applicants must have at least a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university with Teaching Qualifications and be able to demonstrate proficiency in speaking, reading and writing in English and French. Experience of the IB programme is an advantage as well as experience with Upper School students. More details of the job description will be given at interview.
